Bypass Excel-based Permissions Traps
This type of programming makes sense if large amounts of data have to be read. Before starting to read the data from the database, a DUMMY check can be used to quickly determine whether the user is authorized to access part of the data. However, as can be seen from the table above, a code must not only be secured by a general check, but must be supplemented by later, detailed checks. However, even in this context space (or ' ') does not need to be explicitly authorized.
If you have created your own applications, we recommend that you always implement your own permission check and do not just rely on application startup permissions such as S_TCODE, S_START, S_SERVICE, and S_RFC. If you want to add your own checks to standard applications, you must first find the appropriate place to implement the check. To develop without modification, SAP offers user-exits or business add-ins (BAdIs) for such cases. Some SAP applications also have their own frameworks in place that allow customisation-free implementation of their own permission checks, such as the Access Control Engine (ACE) in SAP CRM.
Note the effect of user types on password rules
Describing all configuration options would exceed the scope of this tip. If you need explanations about a customising switch that are not listed here, look for the relevant note about the SSM_CID table. All settings described here can be made via the transaction SM30. You must consider that all settings in the SSM_CUST, SSM_COL, and PRGN_CUST tables are client-independent; only the settings of the USR_CUST table depend on the client.
In order to get an overview of the organisations and their structure, we recommend that you call the Org-Copier (in read mode!) for the various organisational fields via the transactions EC01 to EC15. The customising in the SPRO transaction allows you to define the organisation fields and their respective assignment in the corporate structure area.
The possibility of assigning authorizations during the go-live can be additionally secured by using "Shortcut for SAP systems".

Furthermore, neglect of legal requirements (BDSG, DSGVO, GOB, HGB, etc.)1 can lead to legal measures or steps.
The freeware Scribble Papers is a "note box" in which all kinds of data can be stored. It takes in typed texts as well as graphics and entire documents. The data is then organised in folders and pages.
The following actions are subject to authorization checks that take place before a program or table maintenance is started and cannot be bypassed by SAP applications: Start of transactions (authorization object S_TCODE) - Start of Web Dynpro applications (authorization object S_START) - Start of reports (authorization object S_PROGRAM).
